Parking
As MIT is an urban campus, parking is very limited. We encourage the use of public transportation whenever possible.
Subway
Red Line: Kendall Square-MIT Station.
This is the closest station to the Symposium venue (see map): about 5 minutes walk
Green Line: Park Street Station — Connection to Red Line
This is a centrally located station on the east side of Boston Commons, and a likely station to connect to the Red Line for a short trip to Kendall Square-MIT station (see above).
Walking
Many places in Cambridge and Boston are within a reasonable walking distance from the Symposium venue. On a good day it is a very pleasant experience.
The Kendall Hotel: This is only 5 minutes walking to the Symposium venue.
Hyatt Regency Cambridge: 1.2 miles. Very pleasant 25-30 minutes walk to the Symposium venue, along the Charles River.
John Jeffries House Hotel: 0.8 miles to the Symposium venue. 18-20 minutes walk, including a crossing of the Charles River on Longfellow bridge.
Holiday Inn Express and Suites – Boston-Cambridge: 1.0 miles to the Symposium venue. Easy urban setting walk; 20-25 minutes.
